Jessie Chui is a mixed media artist who creates painterly floral expressions through sculpture and photography. She uses paper and other media to create three-dimensional floral and botanical forms, and then through photography, she captures the interaction of sculptural and living floral and botanical forms at all stages of life. Colour exploration is a main component of her work and it is always used thoughtfully to nurture a sense of harmony in her compositions. The world, as seen through Jessie’s art, is a place of beauty, life, and wonder, and represents a rejection of the world that she experienced as a lawyer.

She is the author of Paper Flower Art (GMC Publication 2019). She teaches online and in-person workshops and co-hosts the Paper Talk Podcast with Quynh Nguyen.

Jessie resides in the Toronto area in Ontario, Canada, with her husband and two little boys.

Jessie Chui è un'artista a tecnica mista che crea espressioni floreali pittoriche attraverso la scultura e la fotografia. Utilizza la carta e altri supporti per creare forme floreali e botaniche tridimensionali e poi, attraverso la fotografia, cattura l'interazione tra forme floreali e botaniche scultoree e viventi in tutte le fasi della vita.
