Hi, my name is Marlene, I am 23 years old and I live in a small village in Germany.

My paper flower journey began in school, where I discovered the different types of paper and how you can turn them into something beautiful. A short time after this I bought my first book about making paper flowers. I started with very basic ones from cardstock but always had in mind, that I wanted to create flowers that look like real ones. So I started to develop my techniques and my skills, a very good help, where the various books of other paper flower artists. And now I am always trying to get a real flower and study its form and look, to create a double. The Thing is that you never stop learning and constantly developing your skills.

Beneath making flowers I really like to do yoga, to be precise every morning for around about an hour and I am feeling better than ever. The Benefits are endless. While making flowers or studying I have to sit down, so yoga is a great way to stretch and relax your body from this. Another thing which is a big part of my Life is reading books, through my university studies I need to read a lot of scientific texts, but in my free time, I love to read all types of books. When I am not reading and not doing yoga and not making flowers, I like to be in nature maybe for a walk or a hike or simply sitting in the garden and watching my cat or my two chickens - yes. you read right two chickens who are running through the garden.

I live an active and healthy lifestyle, so making flowers is a great way to calm down and create magic.
What I really like about making paper flowers is that you don't have to make perfect flowers, because in nature there is never the same flower twice, they are always different from each other and have their own Beauty. And this is what I want to create!

With this way of making flowers, I think so, there comes your own way of making them and your individual style which makes every paper flower artist recognizable. And in the end, this is what sets someone apart from other artists your own style and your own way of creating something that you like while you are having fun doing this.

Il mio viaggio nei fiori di carta è iniziato a scuola, dove ho scoperto i diversi tipi di carta e come è possibile trasformarli in qualcosa di bello. Poco tempo dopo ho comprato il mio primo libro sulla creazione di fiori di carta. Ho iniziato con quelli molto semplici in cartoncino, ma ho sempre avuto in mente che volevo creare fiori che sembrassero veri. Così ho iniziato a sviluppare le mie tecniche e le mie abilità, e un ottimo aiuto è stato dato dai vari libri di altri artisti di fiori di carta. E ora cerco sempre di procurarmi un fiore vero e di studiarne la forma e l'aspetto, per crearne uno uguale. Il fatto è che non si smette mai di imparare e di sviluppare costantemente le proprie capacità.

Oltre a creare fiori, mi piace molto fare yoga, per la precisione ogni mattina per circa un'ora, e mi sento meglio che mai. I benefici sono infiniti. Mentre faccio fiori o studio devo stare seduta, quindi lo yoga è un ottimo modo per allungare e rilassare il corpo. Un'altra cosa che fa parte della mia vita è la lettura di libri: durante gli studi universitari devo leggere molti testi scientifici, ma nel tempo libero amo leggere tutti i tipi di libri. Quando non leggo, non faccio yoga e non faccio fiori, mi piace stare nella natura, magari per una passeggiata o un'escursione o semplicemente seduta in giardino a guardare il mio gatto o le mie due galline - sì, avete letto bene, due galline che corrono in giardino.

Ho uno stile di vita attivo e salutare, quindi creare fiori è un ottimo modo per calmarsi e creare magia.
Ciò che mi piace molto della creazione di fiori di carta è che non è necessario creare fiori perfetti, perché in natura non c'è mai lo stesso fiore due volte, sono sempre diversi l'uno dall'altro e hanno la loro bellezza. Ed è questo che voglio creare!

Con questo modo di fare fiori, credo, nasce il proprio modo di farli e il proprio stile individuale che rende riconoscibile ogni artista di fiori di carta. E alla fine, è questo che distingue una persona dagli altri artisti: il proprio stile e il proprio modo di creare qualcosa che piace, divertendosi.
