Homo Faber is an exceptional stage for the creations of the best masters of art in Europe and beyond.

It is a major cultural event of international significance held every two years in Venice, on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore. It is organized by Fondazione Giorgio Cini in partnership with Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte, and Michelangelo Foundation. It is art directed by Oscar-nominated director Luca Guadagnino and architect Nicolò Rosmarini.

The novelty of this edition? Three crepe paper artists have also been invited to exhibit!

Roberto Benavidez
Paper sculptor
He is a paper sculptor specializing in piñatas. He studied bronze casting before switching to paper, considering it a more accessible material and choosing to focus on the piñata technique.

Abdelnasser Ibrahim
Paper artist
He is a self-taught paper artist based in Cairo, Egypt. Ibrahim discovered the world of paper art by chance and, over time, developed his own method of creating paper creations inspired by nature.

Signe Elisabeth Scharling
Paper sculptor
A former psychologist from Copenhagen, she discovered her passion for paper flower art by chance. A simple encounter with a paper peony on Pinterest sparked her curiosity.

We are so proud of their accomplishment!
